Configure meta data

In SMAQ, meta data is the schema of your data source. More importantly, it defines how SMAQ should understand your data and where it should look at to find the answer for your questions.

When user first create the data source connection, SMAQ tries its best infer the meaning of each table and column. However, depending on the table and column name, there can be discrepancies. Users can modify and correct the descriptions here on the Metadata page.
