# Generate Report from Dashboard

**Generate Report from Dashboard** uses the **Report AI** to convert an existing dashboard into a report with an organized structure and detailed insights that can then be further modified in the report page or downloaded in the .pptx format. The report can be useful for daily/weekly reviews, or management updates.

### Steps to generate a report from a dashboard

1. Go to **Projects → Dashboards**. Open the dashboard you want to use as the basis for your report.
2. Finish configuring your dashboard:
   * Make sure the correct **date range** is set.
   * Ensure all relevant **filters** are applied.
3. **Configure report theme** (optional)**:** The auto generated report will be in the default theme set in your project, go to Organization Setting → Projects → Select your project → Report theme, to select the theme you would like all auto-generated reports to have. You can also change the report theme from the report page itself after your report is generated.

4. Click the **Generate Report AI** from the dashboard header and wait for the report to be generated, once it is done, you will be redirected to the report page.

5. Once the report is auto-generated, configure the report directly from the report page.

**Tips**:

* Always check **filters** before generating: the report reflects **exactly** what’s on the dashboard at that moment.
* Use clear, accurate **chart titles** so that the **report AI** has a more refined context for generating insights.
