• A Threads account (only available where Threads has rolled out).

• A linked Instagram Business or Creator account.

Steps to connect

1. Data Source → Add data source.

2. Pick Threads.

3. Authorize via Meta OAuth.

4. Pick the Threads profile.

5. Name and click Connect.

Tips

• API is still maturing. Some metrics may be unavailable depending on Meta's current Threads API exposure. Watch the SMAQ changelog for new fields.

• Cross-post detection. If you cross-post the same content to Instagram and Threads, the two platforms report independently.

Troubleshooting

• "Threads not available" — Threads access requires a linked Instagram Business/Creator account on a region where Threads has rolled out.
